Software Unit
The Software Unit supports all fields of activity of the IEA Data Processing Center and thus assists all IEA studies undertaken in Germany and internationally.
The unit organises thus concerns itself with the following three key activities:
Software development
The Software Unit is responsible for providing national and international projects with software and tools at all phases of implementation (sampling, fieldwork, data input and coding, data cleaning and data analysis).
In addition to standard organisational programs we also offer our external partners customised software solutions that ensure high quality data in all phases of the project.
Quality control
In order to guarantee the high quality of the software products and product developments, our programs must undergo product and process-oriented quality control tests that are developed and applied by the unit
SAS Programming
The data from the international IEA studies is transformed and cleaned in a complex, multi-level processing procedure and assigned statistical codes for further analysis.
In this context, the Software Unit manages the development and maintenance of the SAS© data processing frameworks, which support the defined processing procedures and regulations.
